This could not be improved at all - buy the perfect one and never have to buy another again! Resting the handle on the bowl is a must to load the BIG hopper and the long handle closes down with ease. The two included disks are plenty enough to cover your bases. Cleans up easily with the removable pieces. I will never go back to hand mashing!

I have never been able to make good mashed potatoes, this duty falls to family members for holiday meals. I am an avid fan of Cook's Illustrated and they recommended this Ricer. It is wonderful; your results will be consistent every time. The unit is easy to assemble, clean and store. It is light weight and easy to use. It is an excellent product.

The ricer does exactly what it was meant to do. It produces smooth mashed potatoes with very little force. The plate separates, making it easier to clean. Takes up a lot of drawer space though.
